Remembering and forgetting offer a useful pair with different grammatical shapes. Meminī has a perfect form but the present meaning remember; oblīvīscor is deponent. Audeō adds another warning against visual shortcuts, since its perfect expression is ausus sum with an active meaning. The paired connectors nōn modo ... sed etiam and its vērum alternative build an argument in two stages: find both halves before deciding what is being added. Dīligentia and custōdiō suggest watchfulness, while coetus and domus locate human activity.
